Mechanical Fitter – Key Responsibilities

1. Install, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, piping systems, pumps, valves, and associated components.
   
2. Perform equipment alignment, fitting, bolting, flange assembly, gasket replacement, and leak rectification.
   
3. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometric drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
   
4. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, and mechanical troubleshooting.
   
5. Follow permit-to-work procedures, toolbox talks, and all site HSE requirements.
   
6. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and lifting equipment safely.
   
7. Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and other trades to complete work within the project schedule.
   

Requirements

1. ITI, Diploma, or recognized trade certificate in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline.
   
2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
   
3. Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, piping, flanges, bearings, and rotating equipment.
   
4. Ability to understand mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and technical instructions.
   
5. Knowledge of equipment alignment, torqueing, fitting tolerances, and safe lifting practices.
   
6. Good understanding of industrial safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
   
7. Must be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under site conditions.
   
8. Must communicate effectively in English and be available to join immediately.
