Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for an MEP Cost Manager to support the delivery of a major Data Centre project in Qatar.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for pre and post-contract cost management duties for MEP packages, including cost estimating, cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, change management, and final account settlement.
• Prepare and manage detailed MEP cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans throughout all project stages.
• Review and collaborate with design teams to ensure MEP designs are commercially viable and aligned with project budget objectives.
• Manage the procurement process for MEP works, including preparation of tender documentation, tender analysis, bid evaluation, and contract recommendations.
• Provide robust cost control, financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial advice throughout the delivery of the Data Centre project.
• Assess and manage variations, claims, and change requests, ensuring accurate valuation and cost impact assessment.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• 5-15 years’ post graduate experience 
• Experience managing MEP costs on large-scale building, mission-critical, or Data Centre projects
• Professional membership is an advantage i.e. MRICS 
• Experienced user of MS Office, advanced MS Excel user
