Technical Writer

Job Purpose

Develop, review, and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly operating procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to support safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update operational procedures, standing instructions, and technical documentation.
• Review and validate existing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Prepare concise technical and safety-related documents aligned with industry best practices.
• Develop competency assessment packages and training-related documentation.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects teams to capture technical changes and update relevant documents.
• Ensure "as-built" and current operating information is reflected in all documentation.
• Support process improvements by identifying documentation gaps and recommending solutions.
• Manage document review and approval workflows with relevant stakeholders.
• Work with engineering and drafting teams to ensure diagrams, drawings, and process documents are accurately updated.

Qualifications

• HND, Diploma, or Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in process operations, LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, procedure development, or technical documentation.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of process operations, safety standards, and technical documentation practices.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
