Head of IT and Digital Transformation

Reports to: Executive Director Location: Doha, Qatar (with international travel)

Role Summary

We are a diversified international group operating across construction, real estate development,hospitality, private equity, energy, and related sectors. Our operations span multiple jurisdictions,requiring secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that support both corporatefunctions and project execution.

We are seeking an experienced IT & Digital Transformation Manager to lead our technologystrategy, oversee all IT operations, strengthen cybersecurity, and drive the adoption of digitaltechnologies that improve efficiency, collaboration, and decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership- Develop and execute the Group's IT strategy.- Align technology initiatives with business objectives.- Manage annual IT budgets and technology roadmaps.- Lead digital transformation initiatives across all business units.

Infrastructure & Operations- Oversee corporate networks, servers, cloud environments, telecommunications, and end-usercomputing.- Ensure high availability of critical systems.- Standardize IT infrastructure across international offices.- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Cybersecurity- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies.- Oversee endpoint protection, firewalls, identity management, and access control.- Conduct security awareness training.- Coordinate penetration testing and vulnerability management.- Manage cyber incident response.

Enterprise ApplicationsManage and optimize business platforms including Microsoft 365, ERP systems, DocumentManagement Systems, Construction Project Management Software, CRM systems, and BusinessIntelligence platforms.

Construction TechnologySupport implementation and integration of BIM workflows, digital project controls, mobile fieldreporting, drone and reality capture technologies, IoT and smart construction solutions, and digitalQA/QC systems.

Artificial Intelligence & Automation

 

 

Identify opportunities to improve operations using AI, including document automation, knowledgemanagement, proposal generation, contract analysis, predictive reporting, AI assistants, andworkflow automation.

Vendor ManagementManage external IT service providers, negotiate software and hardware contracts, evaluate newtechnology vendors, and monitor SLAs and performance.

Governance & ComplianceMaintain IT policies and standards, ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and dataprotection requirements, maintain software licensing compliance, and develop technologygovernance frameworks.

Team LeadershipLead internal IT personnel, coordinate external consultants, build a high-performance technologyfunction, and mentor and develop junior staff.

 

 

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, orEngineering.- 8–15 years of progressive IT experience.- Minimum 5 years in a leadership position.- Experience supporting international operations.- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure preferred).- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge.- Experience with cybersecurity best practices.- Familiarity with ERP implementation and administration.- Excellent project management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience- Construction or engineering industry experience.- BIM and construction technology.- AI implementation in enterprise environments.- ISO 27001 familiarity.- Microsoft Azure certifications.- Cisco certifications.- VMware or Hyper-V.- Power BI.- Microsoft Power Platform.- SharePoint Online.- Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Oracle Primavera P6, or similarconstruction platforms.
