Civil Inspector

Job Description Overview

The Civil Inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting civil and infrastructure works on site, ensuring that all activities are executed in compliance with approved documentation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The role supports coordination across disciplines and ensures infrastructure readiness for subsequent construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect civil works including foundations, roads, drainage, paving, trenches, and equipment bases.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
• Review and respond to WIRs, MIRs, and RFIs in a timely manner.
• Monitor site progress and verify completed works against planned schedules.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to manage interface issues.
• Conduct material inspections and ensure approved materials are used.
• Identify defects, NCRs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain inspection logs, documentation, and photographic records.
• Assist in snagging, defect resolution, and final handover inspections.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in civil construction inspection and infrastructure works.
• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or data centre projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and materials.
• Familiar with inspection procedures, QA/QC processes, and documentation.
• UPDA certification preferred.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
