Job Title: Account Manager - Digital Services & GSI Business Development

Job Summary

Account Manager – GIS Business Development is responsible for client account management in the GIS BusinessDevelopment related GSI activities . S/He is responsible to implement the GIS Business Development’sbusiness plan; develop and promote the business. The jobholder will adhere to policies and procedures, ensuringquality and managing costs. The jobholder is also responsible to attract, develop and grow major client accounts.S/He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the GIS space related to the GIS BusinessDevelopment and represent the firm in the professional GIS community and international forums.

Key Responsibilities (Financial)

Agree targets for GIS Business Development clients with Senior Manager / Manager – GIS Business Development,including revenues, growth rates, etc. and report

Key Responsibilities (Customer Focus)

Develop GSI client relationships in GeographiesMarket and promote K&A GSI GIS Business Development capabilities to clients and generate business leads/ opportunitiesAssist with proposal presentations to clientsEnsure client expectations are communicated to relevant internal teams and stakeholders

Key Responsibilities (Internal Business Process)

Undertake business development and marketing of GSI GIS Business Development capabilities to identifiedmajor clients as directed by the Senior Manager / Manager GIS Business DevelopmentPrepare and review account plans for each client being managed including those by the Senior AccountCoordinator GIS Business DevelopmentPrepare and review status reports on managed clients including those by the Senior Account Coordinator GISBusiness DevelopmentManage a set of major client accountsIdentify and build relationships with potential new clients and further develop relationships with existingclientsRegularly update GSI’s customer database and contact informationAssist to identify partners as needed to participate in delivering a solution towards tender responsesProvide feedback on likely competition to proposal submissions, as requiredProvide input from client on issued RFP to aid in the Go / No Go decision of tender preparationsDevelop proposal submissions together with Senior Manager / Manager GIS Business Development forapproval by senior management to submitEnsure compliance of quality control measuresEnsure compliance of corporate policies and procedures

Participate in lessons learned at conclusion of proposal preparationsAdhere to knowledge management policies and proceduresParticipate in relevant training and knowledge transfer to enhance skill set and keep abreast of domainadvancesStay abreast of the latest trends, developments and products in the GIS space related to GIS BusinessDevelopment

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (IT, Computer) from a recognized universityRegistered with MMUP as a Grade A a computer engineering related field/specialty (Mandatory)

 

 

Very good knowledge of the application of geospatial technologies to the GIS Business DevelopmentindustriesVery good knowledge of the Geospatial and GIS Business Development industry trends and competitivelandscape in the countries of operationUnderstanding of international geospatial / engineering standards and codes as applicableGood business development skillsGood presentation skillsGood planning and organizing skillsGood financial planning and budgeting skillsVery good interpersonal and leadership skillsVery good communication skills and ability to represent the organizationProficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English

10+ years of relevant experience in Geospatial, GIS Business Development, IT and computer engineeringIndustries

10+ years of relevant experience in Geospatial, GIS Business Development industries with a demonstratedgood knowledge and expertise in geospatial technologies and its application to GIS Business Developmentbusinesses5+ years of relevant experience in a management position leading a teamGood experience with all aspects technical proposal preparationDemonstrated experience with developing and maintaining relationships with clientsVery good relevant industry experience within the Middle East and other countries of operationTo provide input from client on issued RFP to aid in the Go / No Go decision of tender preparationsTo provide feedback on likely competition to proposal submissions, as requiredTo participate in lessons learned at conclusion of proposal preparationsTo provide inputs to cost estimation for proposals as required
