Commercial Project Manager

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be part of the SE FIN GT GS ME UG team where you will drive commercial project management in all aspects. This would include being responsible for the projects commercial/financial related matters, including but not limited to handling accounting, legal, tax and Export Compliance and Control (ECC) topics. You would ensure compliance with applicable regulations during the project execution phase. The CPM would support the respective Project Manager(s) in other areas with the objective of executing the project in accordance with defined Project Excellence guidelines/standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG). Professional collaboration between the CPM and the Project Manager is key for the overall project success.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Drives own empowerment with adequate signature authorization and project target agreement to manage the project as commercial project entrepreneur - primary projects to be worked on are categorized as C
• Support Project Managers with the objective of executing the project within the defined targets (costs, time, quality) and to customer satisfaction. Coordinate/collaborate with all internal and external contacts/stakeholders (incl. customers, internal departments, HUB). Ensures accuracy of cost and pricing calculation as well as overall project financials, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.g., SAP
• Manage/control all financial KPIs as per budget/forecast including orders, revenue, costs, profit, receivables, inventory, payables, cash-flows, as per Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guidelines. Manage project receivables/collections, regular customer visits, payments to internal/external suppliers, bank guarantees, Letter of credits as per SE guidelines and signature mandate. Support in monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, controlling and financial reporting topics of department.
• Directs the compliance with standards, rules and regulations of (commercial) project members to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity. Support PM to prepare for project Review/business review meetings with the local and HUB management
• Ensure accuracy of books and records in Spiridon and other tools/applications including updating of the financials in reporting tools e.g Project Dash, PM Impact, NCC Reporting etc.
• Contract & Claim / Risk & Opportunity Management (towards Customers, suppliers & other Internal/external Parties). Manage project throughout the project Life Cycle (execution and warranty phases). Manage Project finances as per contractual development/risk situation. Manage FX/hedging, insurance, tax, LCs, bank guarantees, Export control and other commercial topics
• Attend internal/external project meetings with Project Manager. Support Project Manager in procurement, logistics and other project related topics. Support in preparation of Supplier/logistics contracts/POs, ICC contracts/PO etc.)

What You Bring

• Business Administration/ Finance qualification. Experienced (5 - 7 years as CPM, Certified 'C' CPM- preferred or has the willingness to obtain a certification during employment). Previous experience of a turnkey/EPC solution business is an asset
• Attention to quality, committed to delivering high-quality results, ensuring accuracy and precision in all project-related tasks. An analytical mindset, capable of analyzing complex data, identifying patterns, and deriving insights to support decision-making and project control
• Continuous learning, motivated by personal growth, seeking opportunities to enhance knowledge and develop new skills in project management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information, collaborating with team members, and building relationships with stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude, takes initiative, anticipates challenges, and proposes solutions to optimize project performance. Team collaboration, finds fulfillment in working with diverse teams, building relationships, and achieving collective goals.
• Advanced Knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Power Point), SAP
