About the Role
This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in industrial trading who can generate new business opportunities, manage customer relationships, and convert RFQs into confirmed orders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customers, generating inquiries, preparing quotations, following up aggressively, and achieving sales targets within the Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, and Industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, and Industrial customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate a consistent pipeline of RFQs.
- Build strong relationships with procurement, engineering, maintenance, and project teams.
- Coordinate with sourcing and procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing and lead times.
- Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations in a timely manner.
- Follow up proactively on submitted quotations to maximize order conversion.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with customers.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from inquiry to quotation, order confirmation, and delivery.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely execution of orders.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline, customer database, and sales reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Material Trading or Industrial Trading.
- Experience selling Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (MEI/MRO) products.
- Strong understanding of RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, and the industrial sales process.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong follow-up and closing abilities with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries and work under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive in generating new business.
