Security Officer

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Officer who is responsible for overseeing the day to day 24 hours operational security of Qatar Duty Free (QDF), ensuring compliance with all security protocol issued by QDF management. Protect the interest of QDF avoiding unlawful acts of interference, theft, damage, fraud etc. at the airport. Provide support and communication to staff working at all locations within QDF.

Operational:

Provide support and guidance for all Retail, F&B, Warehouse and external locations within the QDF group.

Monitor all the security related devices and equipment within QDF, implementing a preventative security strategy and polices to ensure the security of the QDF premises and personnel.

Liaise with QR Security to carry out, record alcohol and drug test whenever required, or on a regular basis to ensure compliance and flag any suspicious behaviour to the management for disciplinary action.

Main point of operational contact for all aspects of Security reporting within QDF within his shift.

Implement and/or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, merchandise, employees, guests, or others on company property.

Implement security standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies, and directives.

Be on the shop floor and conduct risk assessments, physical examinations of stores and property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

Communicate all incidents, accidents, emergencies, security status, actual or potential problems in his/her shift to the QDF management in a timely manner and by following the established protocols, follow up and act on any problems ensuring it is solved timely.

Co-ordinate with Manager Stock Control and regularly monitor/identify/investigate any stock losses, controlling the 'Hub of the QDF Security Operations', monitor stock and assets security in all locations of QDF businesses - retail, warehouse, sub store, head office, staff accommodations, boutiques, border shops.

Oversee the fraud management software and ensure daily checks are being carried out to identify any potential internal cases.

Focus on loss prevention and encourage a strong culture of preventing theft and fraud with controls, processes and training.

Liaise with the security service provider on a daily basis to measure performance, carry out inspections, checks, patrols, deployment and ensure agreed department KPls related to security service provider are met on a monthly basis.

Qualification

About you:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification [Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.

Certificate in Basic First Aid.

Basic Fire Awareness and Fire Fighting course.

Knowledge of investigation and search procedures

Knowledge of current security technology and security audits/surveys

Knowledge of loss prevention

Knowledge of the Airport Security Plan

Knowledge of all aspects of Retail and Airport Operations and Security

Knowledge of operating Radio Communication, CCTV, Security devices

Security conscious

Theft prevention

Coaching

Health and Safety

Expected to easily familiarize with all aspects of the Company's organization, its activities and personnel.

Internal Theft Investigation

Command of English language

Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.

Preferred:

Operational experience in Security Supervision

Knowledge of inventory movement thought the business from merchandising, sales and warehouse.
